.Horine is a census-designated place in Jefferson. Horine is located south of St. Louis on SH-Z a connector to Interstate 55. In 1868 Horine was platted out and named after C. Thomas Horine, an early settler. A post office called Horine Station was established in 1862, the name changed to Horine in 1916. The Post office closed down in 1942. Horine is served by the Dunklin R-V School District.
